Overview

The Argentina DNI (Documento Nacional de Identidad) is the main identity document for citizens at home. It is often needed to open accounts, sign contracts, vote, or renew other documents. We prepare the application, book the appointment, and follow the card until it is ready.

How it works in Argentina

These points come from Argentina's official page on getting a new DNI and the Renaper fee schedule:

  • A new copy of the DNI is needed if you change address, lose the card, it expires, it is stolen or damaged, or you need to exchange it.
  • You apply at a Registro Civil in the area where you live, or book a slot at a Renaper Documentation Centre through the Mi Argentina app. The visit itself takes about 15 minutes.
  • Applicants over 14 bring their current DNI if they have it, plus the police report if it was lost or stolen. Children under 14 come with a parent or guardian.
  • A regular new copy costs ARS 10,000. DNI exprés, delivered within 96 working hours, costs ARS 26,000. For holders over 14 the card is valid for 15 years.
  • The card is posted to your address, where you or someone over 18 receives it with the application receipt.

Rules and fees change, so we check the official source again before your application goes in.

Before you apply

  • Plan for an in-person step. Most authorities take fingerprints, a photo, or a signature themselves.
  • Check your names. The spelling should match your passport, birth record, and any naturalisation certificate.
  • Have your citizenship evidence ready. New citizens may need the certificate or registration record before the card can be issued.

Why applications get delayed

  • Names or dates that differ between documents
  • A birth or citizenship record that is not yet in the civil registry
  • Missing proof of a name change or marriage
  • Photos that do not meet the authority's rules
  • Fees paid to the wrong account or for the wrong year

We check each of these before the application goes in.

Fees

Price on request

You receive a quote before any filing starts. It separates the CitizenX fee from government charges, translations, and courier costs. Those extras are added only when they apply, and only after you approve them.

Government fees change, so we confirm them with the issuing authority for your case before you sign.

Government and third-party charges are confirmed in the quote when they apply.

Questions

Usually yes, because the authority takes biometrics itself. We tell you before anything is filed if a visit is needed.

According to Renaper's fee schedule, a regular new copy is ARS 10,000 and DNI exprés is ARS 26,000. We confirm the fee before booking.

From the official sources linked on this page. We check them again before filing because rules and fees change.

You approve the quote before we file. Government fees, translations, and courier charges are listed on their own when they apply.
