Overview

This service records a civil-status change in São Tomé and Príncipe: a marriage, a divorce, or another update the register accepts. The authority wants the underlying certificate, not just a note of the change.

We prepare the filing and follow it until the register is updated. A later name change or passport update can be quoted separately.

What's included

  • A check of the certificate that proves the change
  • Filing the update with the civil registry
  • Follow-up until the register shows the new status
  • A note if a name change or passport update should follow

Documents

What to send

Passport

The São Tomé and Príncipe passport of the person whose record should change.

Proof of marital status

The marriage, divorce, or other certificate being registered.

Birth certificate

A birth record, if the registry asks for it.

Process

  1. Tell us what changed and send the certificate.
  2. We prepare the filing and send the quote.
  3. The update is lodged with the registry.
  4. We confirm once the register shows the new status.

Fees

Price on request

You receive a quote before any filing starts. It separates the CitizenX fee from government charges, courier costs, and legalization. Those extras are added only when they apply, and only after you approve them.

Government and third-party charges are confirmed in the quote when they apply.

Questions

Often yes, if the certificate can be legalized. Send it and we will confirm what the São Tomé and Príncipe registry accepts.

Usually no. We say so if the registry wants a signature in person.

You approve the quote before the update is filed.
