Vanuatu
Overview
This service covers adding an adult dependant to a Vanuatu DSP citizenship, including the FIU checks. We work out which route and forms apply, prepare the papers with you, file them with the right office, and follow the request until the document is issued.
How it works in Vanuatu
These points come from the Citizenship Office types of citizenship page, the Citizenship Office notice on FIU due diligence checks, the Citizenship Office fees and charges page, CRIM's Registration of New Citizens page:
- The Vanuatu Citizenship Commission grants citizenship by naturalisation, marriage, entitlement, regain, CIIP (Form D), the Development Support Program, the Vanuatu Contribution Program, and the Real Estate Option Program.
- The Vanuatu Financial Intelligence Unit carries out due diligence for the DSP, CIIP and VCP programmes, and the Citizenship Office's fee table lists an FIU diligence fee of USD 5,000.
- The same fee table lists USD 10,000 for each additional applicant. Citizenship Office applications (other than Form D) also carry a 5,000 vatu application fee, paid when the application is lodged.
- New citizens register with CRIM at the Ministry of Internal Affairs headquarters, by email, or at a provincial headquarters. CRIM asks for the completed Registration of New Citizen Form, a birth certificate and police clearance from the country of origin, the Citizenship Commission certificate and receipt, and a CRIM standard photo.
- Under the Vanuatu National Identity Act, a person granted citizenship must apply for a National Identity Card within 28 days of the grant (CRIM).
Rules and fees change, so we check the official source again before your application goes in.
Before you start
- Match your names. The spelling should be the same on your passport, birth record, and any citizenship certificate.
- Collect the originals. Most offices want originals or certified copies, and some want translations.
- Plan for in-person steps. Some offices take photos, fingerprints, or signatures themselves.
- Tell us the destination. If the document will be used abroad, it may also need an apostille.
Why requests get delayed
- Names or dates that differ between documents
- A birth, marriage, or citizenship record that is not yet in the register
- Missing translations or certified copies
- Fees paid to the wrong account
- Photos that do not meet the office's rules
We check each of these before anything is filed.

Fees
Price on request
You receive a quote before any filing starts. It separates the CitizenX fee from government charges, translations, and courier costs. Those extras are added only when they apply, and only after you approve them.
Government fees change, so we confirm them with the issuing authority for your case before you sign.
Government and third-party charges are confirmed in the quote when they apply.
Questions
Yes. The Vanuatu FIU runs due diligence for DSP applicants, and the fee table lists USD 5,000 for it.
From the official sources linked on this page. We check them again before filing because rules and fees change.
Not always. We tell you before anything is filed if a step must be done in person.
You approve the quote before we file. Government fees, translations, and courier charges are listed on their own when they apply.
