Document Notarised and Apostille Service in Vanuatu
Have a document notarized and apostilled for use abroad.
Processing time: 1 to 4 weeks
Vanuatu
Overview
This service covers notarising and apostilling a Vanuatu document. We work out which route and forms apply, prepare the papers with you, file them with the right office, and follow the request until the document is issued.
How it works in Vanuatu
These points come from the HCCH Apostille Convention status table, CRIM's Registration of Births page:
- Vanuatu is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention, in force there since 30 July 1980.
- Births are registered with CRIM. The family brings proof of birth (from a health facility, midwife, or doctor, or two witnesses if there is none), completes the Registration of New Birth Form, and receives the certificate. The first copy of a new registration is free.
Rules and fees change, so we check the official source again before your application goes in.
Before you start
- Match your names. The spelling should be the same on your passport, birth record, and any citizenship certificate.
- Collect the originals. Most offices want originals or certified copies, and some want translations.
- Plan for in-person steps. Some offices take photos, fingerprints, or signatures themselves.
- Tell us the destination. If the document will be used abroad, it may also need an apostille.
Why requests get delayed
- Names or dates that differ between documents
- A birth, marriage, or citizenship record that is not yet in the register
- Missing translations or certified copies
- Fees paid to the wrong account
- Photos that do not meet the office's rules
We check each of these before anything is filed.

Fees
Price on request
You receive a quote before any filing starts. It separates the CitizenX fee from government charges, translations, and courier costs. Those extras are added only when they apply, and only after you approve them.
Government fees change, so we confirm them with the issuing authority for your case before you sign.
Government and third-party charges are confirmed in the quote when they apply.
Questions
If it is also a party to the Apostille Convention, yes. Otherwise we tell you which legalisation route applies.
From the official sources linked on this page. We check them again before filing because rules and fees change.
Not always. We tell you before anything is filed if a step must be done in person.
You approve the quote before we file. Government fees, translations, and courier charges are listed on their own when they apply.
